About this treatment
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy (CIT) or skin needling, is a procedure in which tiny, sterile needles repeatedly puncture the top layer of skin for therapeutic purposes. It is known to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process, which encourages collagen production, scar healing, overall brighter complexion, and overall rejuvenating effects on the skin.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the treatment take?
About 30 to 45 minutes.
How many treatments do I need?
Many patients require 4 to 6 treatments, each one month apart.
When will I see results?
Improvement can be seen 3 to 4 weeks after treatment when new collagen is laid down, plumping lines and smoothing scars.
How long do the results last?
Treatment results vary. Since each successive treatment builds on the previous one, a synergy is created to continue collagen deposition. Skin continues to improve over the next 6 to 12 months. We recommend maintenance and touch-up treatments every 4 to 6 months for optimal results.
