About IV therapy
Proper hydration is critical to good health. IV therapy will not replace the need to stay hydrated with oral fluids. However, IV therapy will deliver micronutrients directly at the cellular level into the bloodstream, completely bypassing the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and the enzyme systems in the liver, which both reduce the amount of vitamins and nutrients that enter cells. People absorb 15% to 20% of vitamins taken orally, but with IV infusions, it’s closer to 100%. Therefore, IV therapy can be more immediate and more effective than oral supplementation, giving your body an extra boost when you need it most.

How does it work?
One of our physicians evaluates you and prescribes a fluid combination based on your health and needs. A small IV catheter is inserted into your arm. The IV will deliver a mixture of fluids, vitamins, electrolytes, minerals, antioxidants, and/or medications. Lie back and relax or take a nap. About 45 minutes later, walk out feeling recharged and ready for anything.

Iron Replacement Therapy

Iron replacement IV therapy is used to treat iron deficiencies and iron deficiency anemia, when there is demonstrated intolerance to oral iron preparations or malabsorption of oral iron preparations due to gastric bypass, active inflammatory bowel disease, or other medical conditions. Before this treatment can be started you must have a full medical workup and bloodwork from your primary care provider that demonstrates the need for this treatment. In this treatment electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, or medications are injected directly into a vein, but there is no fluid infusion. A small needle introduces a small catheter into a vein. The physician then uses that catheter to slowly inject the medication or supplements.
